After selling my super awesome 8GB Samsung YP-P2, I purchased the Zune 120 purely for the large 120 gb capacity and the fact that I didn’t want an Ipod! The unbox was shot on my HITACHI-DZHV1074E-U Memory card HD Camcorder at 1080p 30 fps. Enjoy!

Final project for my Independent Study course for the semester; an advertisement for the Zune HD from Microsoft. The Idea was to go along the lines of the old Mac-PC ads but using the products themselves. The idea was also to promote the one genuine feature that the Zune HD has over the iPod - the ability to share media with others on the go, making it a “social media player”. Frankly they’re both ugly as hell. Made with some video camera from WITT, 3D Studio Max and After Effects. The song name is on the iPod if you can read it.

What app should I do next. I’m thinking the piano app. Tell me what app I should do in the comments plus if you liked the idea of comparing Zune HD apps to iPhone apps.
Approx. 3:00 AM CST, Zune software updated, firmware v4.1 installed, a few songs & video have been synced. Video shows music playback capabilities, new ‘pins’ functionality (used within shortcuts sidebar to the left), wireless internet (brief; internet connection was very slow tonight), and awesome screen lock & background screensaver features… Once again, I don’t have video on apps yet as the Zune Marketplace is still down… will post another video about apps and such accordingly…
First of all…yes I’m running this on a Mac…I’m running the Zune software on Windows XP through Parallels. It works pretty nicely although it won’t be as fast as running it through Boot Camp. Anyway this is an overview of a few features of the Zune and the video is geared towards Zune newbies or people that are thinking of buying a Zune.
